A seafront walker in Burnham-On-Sea has described the moment she saw a ‘mini tornado’ form in the skies over the estuary this week.
“My son and I were walking along Burnham seafront when we spotted the twister over by Hinkley Point,” Julie Harris told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We could see the twister over the waters surface.”
The swirling cloud formation occurred during a period of stormy weather this week and Julie took this photo with her mobile phone. The funnel-effect can be seen forming in the top left of her photo.
“It lasted around 2-3 minutes that we saw it and it made my son, Brandon’s, day.”
