Channel Five TV crew films Burnham charity’s wildlife rescue work

-

A Channel Five television crew is filming a local charity’s wildlife rescue work in the Burnham area this week.

The cameras have descended on Secret World Wildlife Centre, based at East Huntspill, to record footage and interviews for a brand new series fronted by well-known presenter Michaela Strachan.

On Tuesday evening (May 5th), the film crew followed Secret World’s veterinary nurse Lisa Hills (pictured right) and volunteer Graeme Thompson as they rescued a swan from a canal near Taunton after it had swallowed a length of fishing line.

The new series Michaela’s Animal Roadshow is scheduled to be broadcast later this year.

Michaela Strachan is a familiar face on wildlife television shows, having presented BBC1’s The Really Wild Show and Countyfile. She also won a BAFTA for Best Presenter for Michaela’s Wild Challenge.
