Burnham-On-Sea Carnival Queen opens new town restaurant

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Carnival Queen cut a ribbon to officially open a brand new restaurant in the town centre on Friday evening (March 5th).

Jessica Rogers was the special guest at the opening ceremony at Truly Scrumptious at 20 College Street, as pictured here.

Over 40 guests were invited along to the grand opening by owner Scott Pring and his partner Cathy Hurley.

The new family-friendly restaurant serves home- cooked food and is described by Scott as an “old fashioned coffee shop selling uncomplicated, quality, home-cooked food.”

Scott, who is head chef at Bridgwater College, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to have opened after a lot of hard work during recent weeks. Thanks go to everyone who has supported us so far.”

Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade Chairman Geoff Shickle, who was among the guests, added: “It’s very encouraging to see another business opening in Burnham and we wish Scott well with this new venture. We’ve seen several new shops open in town in recent weeks, which shows the town’s resilience during the recession.”
