A Burnham-On-Sea seafront gift shop is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month.
Christine and Geoff Lewis have run The Treasure Chest on The Esplanade for a quarter of a century – and are celebrating the milestone with a special offer for Burnham-On-Sea.com readers this month.
“It’s been a great 25 years and we thank all our customers for their support over the years,” said Geoff.
“We have seen some changes over years – there are a lot more short break visitors in Burnham now than when we opened. Back then, it was common to stay for two weeks at a time.”
“Some things haven’t changed, though, and visitors still buy ice creams and beach goods in the sunshine and fudge when it rains!”
The shop, which is located next to Sunspot Amusements, sells Sidoli-branded ice cream and fudge from Padstow plus gifts ranging from handbags and jewellery to beach goods and collectibles.
Christine added: “We’re in great location here and many people that pop in say they prefer the traditional feel of Burnham seafront compared to Weston. Many people keep coming back to visit us every year which is superb.”
Any visitors to the shop during June who quote ‘Burnham-On-Sea.com’ at the till will get 10% off purchases this month.
