A group of travellers has returned to Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront this weekend – the first in the town this year.
Several vehicles, including three caravans, arrived on the South Esplanade, as pictured here, on land between Quantock Court and the entrance to Burnham Holiday Village.
A nearby resident told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the group arrived on Friday evening. Sedgemoor District Council and Haven Holidays have been informed ahead of any legal action starting.
The arrival comes after a series of visits by travellers last year at locations in and around Burnham, prompting action to dissuade them from pitching up on public sites.
The travellers have been parked on The Esplanade since Friday evening
