Travellers leave grassland at entrance to Highbridge’s Apex Park

-

A small group of travellers who have been camped on grassland next to Apex Park in Highbridge for over ten days have finally left the site.

Sedgemoor District Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Thursday (July 11th) that a clean-up operation was underway after the travellers left the site.

The council secured the necessary legal papers on Monday “requiring them to leave forthwith” but they finally left on Wednesday evening.

The group of travellers had four vehicles, pictured here, that were pitched up near to the park entrance off Marine Drive.
