A group of travellers set up camp on the playing fields next to Burnham-On-Sea’s BAY Centre.
The travellers started arriving in the Cassis Close playing fields early on Wednesday with six vehicles in place, but later moved on to Burnham’s BASC Ground instead.
Sedgemoor District Council says it was aware of the situation and was currently monitoring it ahead of possible legal proceeedings to move them on.
The vehicles – including caravans and cars – were parked on the Worston Lane side of the playing fields.
There are also other travellers vehicles in the Pier Street car park next to Burnham’s former Morrisons store.
