Farmers from across the Burnham-On-Sea area turned out to suppport a fundraising tractor run in aid of a local community group on Sunday (September 25th).
28 tractors set off across the Somerset Levels and through the area, raising £408 for Music for the Memory, an independent support group based in Burnham-On-Sea with more than 60 members.
The group enables people living with Dementia or memory loss to meet in a relaxed, non-medical environment, to perform a variety of musical based activities.
“The drivers had a good run and arrived back after four and a half hours for a hearty ploughman’s lunch,” the group’s spokeswoman Julie Skinner told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We raised £408 and thanks go to the drivers and marshalls and the 37 Club for allowing us to use their facilities. We are hoping to make this an annual event.”
