Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to extinguish a tractor blaze near Bridgwater on Monday afternoon (April 8th).
Fire crews from Burnham, Street and Glastonbury were called to Moorlinch at around 2.45pm after a tractor was reported to be in flames.
Fire crews found the tractor well alight and, as it was located a considerable distance from the roadway, crews requested two off-road brendon pumps from Glastonbury and Burnham to help the Street fire crews.
“The crews extinguished the tractor and the attached trailer full of dung, using two brendon pumps and two breathing apparatus wearers. The tractor was severely damaged by fire and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
