Mike Mansfield, Chairman of Burnham-On-Sea’s Town Twinning Association, welcomed a group of visitors from France on Thursday (March 22nd) at the start of their week-long stay in the town.
Nineteen pupils and staff are visiting from Louvigne, the French town which is twinned with Burnham-On-Sea.
They arrived at King Alfred School and were met by some of the local children and families who will be looking after them during the next few days.
“It’s a great opportunity for the children to brush up their language skills and make new friends. The exchange has happens each year around this time and helps to strengthen the links between our two towns,” said Mr Mansfield.
