Recruitment for the new part-time role, which will earn £15k a year over two years, was due to finish in August, but the campaign has been extended until 19th September.
Town Clerk Denise Emery told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are disappointed with the low number of applications and so have opted to extend the recruitment.”
The Town Centre Manager will co-ordinate events and promote the town centre, working with Burnham’s Chamber of Trade and other groups.
