Local businesses shortlisted for Somerset Tourism Awards

Tourism businesses in the Burnham-On-Sea are celebrating after being shortlisted for Somerset Tourism Awards.

The awards were launched last year and recognise the best tourism businesses across Bristol, Bath and Somerset.

Local businesses have done well across the various categories, which were announced on Friday.

In the access and inclusivity category, the local finalists are Holiday Resort Unity and Wall Eden Farm Holidays and Adventure Activities.

In the camping and caravanning park of the year category the local finalists are Dulhorn Farm Holiday Park.

Wall Eden has been short-listed for the best glamping and alternative accommodation of the year.

In the category for ‘holiday park of the year’, Warren Farm and Holiday Resort Unity are finalists while Sandy Glade is highly commended.

In the self-catering business of the year category, Wall Eden is also the local finalist.

Burnham’s Food Festival, Eat: Festivals, is also one of the finalists in the tourism event / festival of the year.

Awards organiser Nell Barrington said: “We are thrilled for all the finalists and want to thank all the businesses who entered this year; there was a really great response from Somerset, Bristol and Bath.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 9th November at the Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton. The full awards list is here.
