These were the remarkable scenes in the skies over Highbridge on Thursday afternoon (July 23rd) as a mini twister swept through the area.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reader Graham Powell took these photos of the funnel cloud as it moved quickly across the skies.
He said: “This picture was taken at about 4.30pm from my back garden in Highbridge.”
“The weatherman on the BBC showed a similar picture taken from Catcott towards Highbridge. He said it was a ‘weak funnel cloud’, nevertheless it was quite dramatic.”
Several users of Burnham-On-Sea’s discussion forums also reported here spotting the formation in the sky. There were no reports of damage.
