Public toilet facilities in Highbridge and Brean are set to be improved – just days after we reported that a block of loos in Burnham is to be closed until next Spring due to anti-social behaviour.
Sedgemoor District Council announced on Friday (October 5th) that it is investing an additional £34,000 into its public conveniences during coming weeks.
The facilities in Wedmore, Brean, Cheddar, North Petherton and Highbridge will benefit.
In Brean, the loos in Warren Road will be decorated, and new handrails and signage will be introduced. There will also be roof repairs, plus new light fittings and a heater. The work is due to be completed by mid-October.
In Highbridge, the Bank Street WCs will also be improved with internal and external decoration, plus the replacement of floor tiles. Work will start on October 17th.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported earlier this week that the Seaview Road loos in Burnham would remain closed due to anti-social behaviour.
