Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor was among dozens of representatives of local businesses, groups and tourism attractions who attended a successful promotional evening at the town’s seafront information centre on Monday (February 27th).
A cheese and wine evening was held by BIARS (Burnham Information and Rescue Support), the group that runs the facilities, to give local firms a chance to hear about its successful work in providing information to visitors and residents.
A BIARS spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a very successful evening which brought together many members of the local tourism and business community, encouraging closer working. We are looking forward to a busy summer season ahead and a successful future with the support of our dedicated volunteers and local businesses.”
Burnham’s Mayor Michael Clarke added: “I am delighted to see the TIC doing well, being well supported, and to hear about its plans for the future.”
