Burnham’s MP flips her way to victory in Parliamentary Pancake race!

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s MP Tessa Munt was among a group of politicians who won an annual parliamentary pancake race in Westminster on Shrove Tuesday.

A group of MPs including Tessa Munt beat teams from the House of Lords and the media in one of the most fiercely contested events in the political calendar!

They gathered at Victoria Tower Gardens outside Parliament to take part in the race, which raises funds and awareness for the disability charity Rehab.

The MPs crossed the finishing line first for the second year in a row. One said: “It was a tough contest, and while the wind direction made it hard to get a good toss on the pancake, once we got in our stride, there was just no stopping us.”
