Burnham-On-Sea’s MP has offered her condolences to the families of those murdered in Paris this week and posted this poignant image on social media.
Tessa Munt posted a “simple but powerful tribute from illustrator Lucille Clerc” on Facebook.
She added: “My sincere condolences to those murdered in Paris – the artists, journalists, their family, friends, fans and those who tried to protect them.”
“To all those who have and continue to fight for freedom of speech and expression, thank you – keep going.”
It comes after gunmen attacked the Paris office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday, killing 12 of the staff and injuring 11 in an apparent Islamist attack.
The two masked men, armed with assault rifles, forced their way into the Paris magazine offices, shooting dead the editor Stephane Charbonnier, his police guard and nine other members of staff.
As they fled in a waiting black car, they opened fire at police and shot dead an officer in the street before driving off.
