Burnham-On-Sea’s Tesco store has unveiled its new look this week with the formal opening of its expansion.
Customers can now benefit from a larger store with many new and improved services including a new pharmacy, clothing department, homeware department, fish counter and olive bar.
The changes to the store, which has been extended by 13,000 square feet, were made as a result of customer feedback.
Store Manager Ian Carvell said: “I am delighted with the improvements, my colleagues and I have worked extremely hard and we are all very pleased with the customer feedback so far.”
During the opening ceremony, the store made a donation of £1000 to Burnham-On-Sea RNLI. Volunteers including Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes and Chairman Graham Wills helped cut a ribbon to mark the re-launch.
Ian said: “We are delighted that we have been able to make the donation, as the organisation does such fantastic work to help keep our community safe and educated along the coast.”
