Burnham-On-Sea’s Avenue Tennis Club is welcoming newcomers this weekend (July 21st and 22nd) as it joins the nationwide Great British Tennis Weekend.
Sponsored by the Lawn Tennis Assocation, the event is taking place at the club in The Grove, Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 4pm.
The free event is designed for all ages and all abilities, from absolute beginners to regular players, and racquets and balls will be supplied for those new to the sport.
“The club is keen to see anyone inspired by Wimbledon and is particularly happy to welcome families, whether locals or holidaymakers,” says a spokesman.
The sessions run from 1-4pm during which time coaches will be available on request.
The Open Weekend is supported by the Lawn Tennis Association and is completely free to all participants.
