Burnham-On-Sea’s Avenue Tennis Club has played host to a wedding reception for two of its members.
Mr and Mrs Rose, formerly Miss Anna Travers, one of a family of ex-players at the club, tied the knot at the weekend and held their wedding reception in a marquee on one of the club’s courts.
Avenue Tennis Club Head Coach Vinny Duddy, pictured with the couple, said: “They had a fantastic wedding reception, setting up a marquee on Court 2.”
“The happy couple told us it was a super venue and thanked the Avenue bar staff and committee for making it such a special day to remember.”
“In looking for something old and something new for their photo, they posed with my new sponsors racket, a Technifibre racket, and an old racket that was donated to the club by a retired member. It was over 70 years old!”
