A holiday camp for young tennis players in Burnham-On-Sea over the half-term holiday has been hailed a success.
Despite the wintry weather, a group of youngsters attended the camp at The Avenue Tennis Club during the week.
Head coach Vinny Duddy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Some kids spent the whole week at the camp and some just dropped in and out for a couple of days.”
“The parents said the kids had a great time and were tired out by the evenings.”
Coaching was taken by Barry Ramsden, Craig Phillips, Heather Duddy, Emily Rossitter and Vinny Duddy. The youngsters were split into Mini Reds (up to age eight), Mini Orange (8 – 10) and Yellow Ball (11+).

The Avenue Tennis Club is also offering new members the opportunity to join the tennis club and get 14 months membership for the price of 12. The new membership deal is subject to the new member completing a direct debit mandate that would start from the 1st April 2010 and would be at 2009 membership prices.
