Staff at Highbridge’s King Alfred School receive teaching awards

-

Two staff from Highbridge’s King Alfred School have been presented with top awards this week in recognition of their high teaching standards.

Miss Baylea Charles, a Physical Education teacher and Assistant Head of Year and Miss Hannah Stuart, a Modern Languages teacher and German specialist, both received Pearson Teaching Awards, which recognise individuals for their commitment to teaching and learning.

“We are sure that the entire community would like to join us in congratulating both of them on their well-deserved achievement,” Simon Aylward, Assistant Headteacher at King Alfred School, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The Pearson Teaching Awards were established by award-winning film producer Lord David Puttnam in 1997.

“The awards provide an opportunity to celebrate those who, tirelessly and often selflessly, dedicate their lives to securing a future for the next generation,” says Lord Puttnam.
