An up-and-coming Burnham-On-Sea musician performed live on BBC local radio on Saturday (February 23rd) as he seeks to develop his talent into a career.
Taylor Topham, 18, who lives in Burnham, is a guitarist and singer who writes his own songs.
He was invited to perform live on BBC Somerset on Saturday, where he received plenty of positive feedback from listeners.
Taylor told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I taught myself to play guitar from a young age and have now been creating and playing music for around five years.”
“This year I am starting to take it more serious. I write songs from my own experiences and enjoy performing live and sharing my creations with people.”
“I have spent years developing my own performance, both lyrically and with different guitar techniques.”
“My songs seem have a good individuality but some say I am similar to Ben Howard which is a massive compliment as I find his work so inspiring.”
“I have been performing at a range of open mic and acoustic nights and have also been asked to perform at a number of weddings, but am looking to further my career and perform live in a range of venues.”
Taylor will be performing at the Dunstan Inn in Burnham from 9pm on 29th March and says he is available for more bookings. “I would love the opportunity to perform and share my music with as many people as possible,” he says.
Taylor’s music video has been filmed on Burnham beach and can be viewed on his website here.
