Highbridge youngster raises hundreds for charity by losing hair

-

A Highbridge youngster has raised more than £240 for charity by donating her hair to the good cause.

Tali Knight, 11, decided she’d have 13 inches of her hair cut off to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust, which donates wigs to children who have lost their hair after chemotherapy.

Tali, a pupil at Churchfield School, took part in the fundraiser at the weekend after learning earlier this year that her Aunty is battling cancer.

Mum Selina said that she was very proud of what she’d done. Tali added: “I was a bit nervous but enjoyed it and I’m happy I did it because I know I did something good for another person.”

Tali also has an online fundraising web page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Tali-haircut where donations are welcome.
