A talented West Huntspill pizza chef who owns a family-run local business has competed in the UK’s pizza chef of the year competition finals this month.
Adam Sear competed against 16 other cooks for the Pizza Chef of the Year Award in London this month.
He runs Maestro’s Pizza, a mobile pizza business, with his wife Chantelle who entered him into the awards and was delighted to see him short-listed for the final.
Chantelle explains: “Back in 2016 due to our son’s restricted diet Adam was looking for an alternative way of making pizzas to give our son a better diet. Fast forward seven years, and we are now in our third year of trading around the local area.”
“Adam got through to pizza chef of the year finals back in August. It took place on November 9th where he competed with the top UK pizza chefs at Pizza Pilgrims in Camden, London.”
The evening also included an awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park with many other business owners from across the country.
While Adam unfortunately didn’t win this year, Chantelle says it has definitely made him eager to compete again next year.
Maestro’s Pizza regularly visit villages in the Burnham-On-Sea area, such as West Huntspill pictured above, and events.
