Dozens of residents join tai chi taster event in Burnham gardens

-

Dozens of residents took part in a tai chi taster event in Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Saturday.

Bubbling Springs, which is based in Burnham, held a series of demonstrations in the gardens over the course of two hours.

Organiser Cheryl Mountford, right, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There were far fewer people than normal but the turnout was not bad given the weather forecast and all the other events going on.”

“It was good to have some people along who had never done Tai Chi before – that’s what it’s all about.”

Tai Chi is a sequence of slow, spiraling flowing movements and is sometimes referred to as ‘meditation in movement’.

Sessions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Burnham Community Centre in Berrow. Further details are available from the centre.
