Over £170 was raised for charity when a clothes swapping and shopping evening was held in Highbridge on Saturday.
The ‘Ladies Swishing & Shopping Evening’ was held at the Community Hall in Market Street in aid of Meningitis UK.
Organiser Nic Noad told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a great turnout during the event and had such positive feedback that we are already planning a follow-up event later in the year.”
“For those that don’t know, ‘swishing’ is a big fashion swap, so if you want to renew your wardrobe by swapping your unwanted items and raise money for charity in the process, then be sure to come along.”
There was also a raffle, homemade cupcakes, luxury chocolates, chocolate fountain, craft and gift stalls, beauty products, Tarot reading and Henna painting.
Nicola and friend Tamara Ellis, who oversaw the event, are taking on 12 challenges in 12 months, to help 12 charities.
