Clothes swapping and shopping evening in Highbridge tonight

-

A clothes swapping and shopping evening will be held in Highbridge today (Saturday) to raise funds for charity.

The ‘Ladies Swishing & Shopping Evening’ is being held at the Community Hall, Market Street in Highbridge in aid of Meningitis UK. Being held from 6pm-9pm, entry will be free.

Organiser Nic Noad told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “For those that don’t know, ‘swishing’ is a big fashion swap, so if you want to renew your wardrobe by swapping your unwanted items and raise money for charity in the process, then be sure to come along.”

“Remember, the more you bring, the more you get. Please make sure that all items are washed and pressed and are in a condition that you’d be happy to take home.”

“Please bring your items with you to the swishing table at the beginning of the evening, you will receive a coupon for each item you bring.”

“At 7pm the swishing will begin, you can then swap your coupons for new items. Items can be tried on during the evening and any items that may be left at the end of the evening will be donated to charity. Instead of charging a swishing fee or door entry, there will instead be a donation bucket on the evening.”

There will also be a raffle, homemade cupcakes, luxury chocolates, chocolate fountain, craft & gift stalls, beauty products, Tarot reading and Henna painting.
