Burnham-On-Sea swimming pool re-opens after water chemical problem

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s swimming pool re-opened at mid-day on Thursday (March 1st) after staff completed urgent technical work to resolve a water chemical problem.

The facility was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday after a problem with the automatic water treatment system was found.

A pool spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Thursday: “We are fully open again and our normal swimming schedule has resumed. Thanks for everyone’s patience during the closure.”

Earlier this week, we reported that problems with the pool’s automatic water treatment system had forced the closure. “The chemical balance within the pool was incorrect and because of stringent safety procedures, the public were not being allowed to swim,” said the spokeswoman.
