Burnham-On-Sea Swim Club head coach retires after 15 year stint

-

Burnham-On-Sea Swimming Club has this week said farewell to one of its longest-running leaders.

Sarah Pusill has been head coach at the club for the past 15 years but has decided to step down as she is getting married this September.

Sarah was presented with a silver plate to mark her retirement by club members this week, as pictured above.

She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club and am sad to see it go after so many years, but the time is right to move on ahead of a new part of my life beginning this autumn.”

During the evening, Sarah also presented young swimmer Nathan Clarke with the County Young Volunteer Of the Year Award, as pictured.

Meanwhile, Burnham Swimming Club has moved out of Burnham and is now based at Brean Splash and held its first gala there on Saturday. “We’re keen to further expand the club while keeping our fees as low as possible,” explained the group’s chair Sally Plume. “Now is the right time to move on.”
