Injured swan rescued from M5 central reservation at Burnham-On-Sea

-

An injured swan is being looked after by wildlife carers after being rescued from the central reservation of the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea.

The injured bird was taken to Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre in East Huntspill by a police officer, as pictured here.

“The swan was found on the central reservation of the M5 near Sedgemoor Services. He had been clipped by two cars before the police could rescue him,” said a Secret World spokesperson.

“He is now at our centre, having seen our vet, and had ten stitches in a wound around his shoulder joint.”

“We would like to send a huge thank you to Avon and Somerset Constabulary for rescuing this swan and bringing him in.”
