Injured swan rescued by wildlife carers at Burnham holiday park

-

A swan is being looked after by carers from Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre this week after being rescued in Burnham-On-Sea.

The bird was reported to have been spotted struggling in a fishing lake at Burnham Holiday Village.

The swan was rescued by volunteers and was found to have partially swallowed a length of discarded fishing line. It also had a hook caught in its mouth, causing it pain.

The bird is recovering well at the wildlife centre, based in East Huntspill, said a spokesman.
