Swan holds up Burnham-On-Sea traffic as he goes on walkabout!

-

Could this bird hold the solution to stamping out the problem of speeding vehicles in Burnham-On-Sea?

Traffic ground to a halt along Burnham Road on Monday lunchtime (May 15th) when the swan went on a walkabout, dodging in between vehicles and forcing them to slow down.

Alarmed motorists swerved round the bird near the Total petrol station when it ventured into the road.

The motorist who sent Burnham-On-Sea.com this photo quipped: “He was in a right swanny, having been unable to reach the nearby pelican crossing.”

“Eventually, he crossed the road and disappeared along Apex Drive in the direction of Apex Park.”
