Wildlife centre near Burnham-On-Sea to hold animal photography day

-

Budding wildlife photographers in the Burnham-On-Sea area have a chance to get up close to wildlife this month, under expert tuition, when a wildlife photography day is held.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre is holding a Photography Day on Sunday 18th October.

National Geographic photographer Victoria Hillman will work with amateur enthusiasts and semi- professionals who will have special access to animals at the wildlife rescue centre near Highbridge.

“The Secret World photo days are not only a great opportunity to improve your photography and take some some wonderful photos of British wildlife, but also a chance to experience them up close whilst learning how animals are cared for at Secret World,” Victoria told Burngham-On-Sea.com.

“It is not a workshop as such, but more about tips and tricks to help photographers get the best shots combined with access to some beautiful creatures. The six-hour session is pretty full-on, and the response from those that took part in August was very positive indeed.”

The session has a maximum of eight participants, who will have unique access to native species such as owls, foxes, deer, harvest mice and hedgehogs, as well as other animals being cared for at the 14-acre site in East Huntspill.

“We have also found that the Secret World Photography Days make very worthy gifts for occasions like birthdays and anniversaries,” added Victoria. Included in the day is a presentation by Victoria, professional tuition about how to get the most out of your camera and ultimately how to achieve the best shot.

The full day session costs £150 and is bookable via the Secret World website by clicking here.
