A group of Burnham-On-Sea charity supporters has this week been presented with a bumper cheque following a collection at the annual Sedgemoor Civic Service.
Sedgemoor District Council Chairwoman Jane Moreton handed over £214.06 to local representatives and supporters of SURE (Somerset Unit For Radiotherapy Equipment) outside Burnham Hospital.
SURE fundraisers John Palmer and Don Griffen are pictured receiving the cheque from Jane Moreton, Paul Herbert, Dennis Davey and Arthur Thorogood on Tuesday (April 5th).
John told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are very grateful for this donation, which will help towards the cost of much-needed radiotherapy equipment and treatment.”
The Sedgemoor Civic Service was held in early March when dozens of dignitaries from across the area gathered in Cheddar for the annual event.
