Burnham pensioner Sue Nicholls plans to run Great Wall of China

-

A Burnham-On-Sea pensioner has completed her 13th marathon this month at the age of 72 and is now in training to run part of the Great Wall of China.

Sue Nicholls only started running nine years ago and hasn’t looked back since, by regularly taking part in events around the world.

“Age is no barrier – I love running. It keeps your body and your mind active,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“My latest marathon was the Berlin marathon, which I completed in four hours and 21 minutes.”

She added: “I’ll be taking part in the London Marathon next April and then running 5,000 steps of the Great Wall Of China next May.”

“That will be an incredible experience – I’m really looking forward to it.”
