A Burnham-On-Sea pensioner has run two marathons in six days to raise cash for charity.
Sue Nicholls, 70, completed the London Marathon on Sunday in a time of 3 hours, 58 minutes and 26 seconds.
Just six days earlier, she ran the Boston Marathon in America in a time of four hours and 40 seconds.
Sue has raised £1,800 for Cancer Research and told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The second marathon was hard work but I was determined to do it.”
“I had brilliant support along the route from family and friends. It was a phenomenal feeling to complete the second marathon and I thank everyone in Burnham for their wonderful support and encouragement.”
Her son Alan Tilley, who lives in Berrow, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are all inspired by her. She’s such an amazing person who is proving that age is no barrier!”
