Brean’s new Subway store opens and creates new jobs in village

-

Final construction work has been completed at Brean’s new Subway store, which opened in Brean over the Easter weekend in place of the former Flaming Jaes pub.

Owned by Brean Leisure Park, the store is the first phase of a major overhaul at the site which will also see a new restaurant called The Big Deal opening soon – creating a total of 15 new jobs.

Sarah House, Director of the leisure park, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are pleased to have completed the Subway restaurant in time for the start of the holiday season and we have already been busy. Subway is open daily over the holiday period.”

She added that Brean Leisure Park had been very busy despite the inclement weather over the Easter weekend.

“It would appear the weather is not having an impact on people wanting to stay over the Easter holiday period.”

“All the fun rides at the leisure park are open daily and an end-of-Easter holiday fireworks spectacular will be held on Saturday (10th April) at 8.30pm.”
