More than £500 was raised for Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club when a town centre pub held a popular outdoor street party on Sunday evening (August 30th).
A 70 year-old steam engine was also on show outside the Somerset and Dorset and added some extra interest to the evening, which featured live music, a barbecue, stalls and a tombola.
Organiser Mark Bishop from Hillview Carnival Club told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We raised over £500 on the night and the big crowd enjoyed first class entertainment thanks to John and Pat, the landlords.”
“Many thanks also go to our club members who worked hard manning the stalls, cooking and selling tickets, and a big thanks to everyone for attending and making it such a success.”
