Burnham dances the night away at town’s annual street party
Holidaymakers and residents were quite literally dancing in the streets on Sunday night (August 28th) when a popular outdoor concert was held in the town.
The Somerset and Dorset pub’s annual Local Emergency Services family street party drew crowds of several hundreds to the southern end of the High Street to hear a foot-tapping line up of music.
Burnham’s High Street was closed for the night to allow a huge lorry to move into position and act as the stage for the concert.
The seven-hour event featured music came from many local groups and bands. And a barbecue, draw, raffle and tomobola helped to raise funds for worthy local groups and organisations.
