Gale force winds created stormy scenes along Burnham’s seafront on Tuesday evening.
Gusts of up to 50mph sent big waves crashing onto the sea wall at high tide shortly after 6pm, as pictured here.
The Environment Agency closed the town’s flood gates at the top of the jetty, Maddock’s Slade and at the Sailing Club as a precaution.
The conditions were ideal for several windsurfers who were seen being blown across the bay at high speed.
