Residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area have been warned to expect high winds later today when Storm Frank sweeps in from the Atlantic on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow “be aware” warning for wind in parts of the south west.
“Some very strong winds are expected to develop around western and southern coasts of England and some disruption to transport is possible,” said a Met Office spokesman.
“As a deep area of low pressure passes, wind speeds across exposed parts of southwest England are expected to increase. Gusts of 50-60 mph and possibly higher are possible.”
