The occupants of this car had a lucky escape in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday morning (February 13th) after being involved in a crash at an accident blackspot.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to a sharp bend in Stoddens Road near the entrance to the BASC rugby ground at 9.40am.
The driver of a car lost control in slippery road conditions, and his vehicle careered into a ditch, ending up on its side.
“They were lucky that no-one was seriously hurt,” eyewitness Simon Havercroft told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “It is a dangerous corner.”
Simon pulled the people inside to safety and paramedics checked them over, but no-one was seriously hurt. Five people were in the car. It is one of several accidents at the bend during recent years.
