A Highbridge woman has been arrested after an alleged stabbing in the town at the weekend.
Police were called to Scott Road on Saturday night (February 20th) after a man was reported to have been injured.
Police spokesman Craig Evry told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re investigating a disturbance in the Scott Road area of Highbridge on Saturday night in which a 33-year-old man suffered superficial stab injuries.”
“Officers were called to the scene at around 8.40pm and the injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.”
“A 27-year-old woman was later arrested on suspicion of affray and wounding with intent.”
“She’s been released on bail until 24th March so further enquiries can take place.”
