More than 300 pupils from a Burnham-On-Sea school were treated to a morning on the town’s beach this week to mark the end of their school year.
The youngsters from St Joseph’s School, aged 3-11, took part in a sandcastle building competition and enjoyed a morning of other fun activities in this week’s heatwave.
Headteacher Simon Kingwell told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “As part of an end-of-term treat, the pupils enjoyed a morning on the beach. The whole school had a wonderful time building sand castles and constructing various shapes and designs. The weather was better than it has been for several years. Burnham’s Morrisons supermarket were again very generous to us in supplying choc ices for all the children from the school.”
