Warm Spring sunshine brought crowds of visitors to Burnham-On-Sea over the weekend.
Temperatures in the town reached 14C on Saturday and 16.6C on Sunday, creating busy scenes along the town’s seafront and on the beach.
Queues of customers for ice creams even built up on Sunday afternoon, as pictured here outside the Styles ice cream shop on Burnham seafront.
Louise Parkin, manager at Burnham Pavilion, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The good weather was very welcome. It delivered a great weekend of trade and the timing was perfect as many of the caravanners were returning to local holiday parks after the winter.”
A spokesman for Burnham Chamber of Trade added: “It was great to see the town centre busy with residents and visitors. Many shops enjoyed a uplift in trade. It’s been a promising start to Spring.”
And Jason Harmer at Brean Cove added: “It was a great weekend of trade for us – our car park was full to capacity at several times during the weekend and the cafe enjoyed very brisk trade.”
