Dozens of fun runners from across the Burnham-On-Sea area raised hundreds of pounds for charity by completing the town’s Sport Relief Mile today (Sunday, 20th March).
Over 60 entrants ran, jogged and walked around Highbridge’s Apex Park at the event, which was started by Burnham’s Town Crier Alastair Murray.
Local co-organiser Gaynor Brown from BOSH Events said: “The event was a great success – we had a good turnout of runners and there was a super, fun atmosphere.”
There was also music, dance and a warm-up before the event overseen by Burnham-On-Sea’s DanceFit group.
As one of the UK’s biggest nationwide fundraising events, the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile aims to bring the entire nation together to get active while raising cash for good causes.
