Over £300 was raised for a cancer charity during a sponsored spinathon in Burnham-On-Sea this week.
Seventeen fundraisers jumped onto the exercise bikes at King Alfred Sports Centre to pedal for two hours in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
“They each cycled over 20 miles during the course of Tuesday’s event, raising money and keeping fit at the same time,” Toni McKinlay, the sports centre’s Assistant Leisure Service Manager, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The centre’s owner, 1610, has made Macmillan Cancer Support is charity of the year and a number of fundraising events are being planned for members.
