Meet Somerset Rebels speedway star in Burnham-On-Sea today
Somerset Rebels speedway star Christian Hefenbrock will be making a special visit to Burnham-On-Sea today (Thursday, April 21st).
The rider, pictured, will be at the recently-opened Bunham Tourist Information centre on The Esplanade from 1pm-3pm when he’ll be signing autographs and meeting supporters.
“This will be a great opportunity to meet a top speedway star, have your photo taken with him, and also get to look around Burnham’s new tourist information centre,” said Tom Ashton, from BIARS (Burnham Information And Rescue Support), which now runs the facilities.
Christian was crowned full German Champion in 2006 and has also twice finished runner-up in the German Championship.
Following spells with Wolverhampton, Lakeside, Peterborough and Coventry, he linked up with the Somerset Rebels in 2010 and has gone on to become a top rider, scoring several maximum points in recent meetings. He’s expected to be in action again this Friday when the Rebels take on Scunthorpe.
