A four-legged friend will be making an appearance at a Burnham-On-Sea opticians next Wednesday (September 22nd) as part of its birthday celebrations.
Specsavers at 3 High Street will be celebrating its fifth birthday with a dog-themed party day in the store to raise money for Guide Dogs.
The special guest will be two-and-a-half year old black Labrador Annie and her owner Maggie Burgess who will be at the store between 2 and 3pm.
There will be lots of other activities going on, including a coffee morning where customers can enjoy hot drinks and cake in return for a donation. A raffle will be running throughout the day, with the chance of winning a doggie hamper as well as a ‘guess the number of dog treats in a jar’ competition. Staff will also be carrying out specs MOTs, cleaning and adjustments, in return for donations.
For younger customers, a pin the tail on the picture of a dog competition will be held in the afternoon and children up to the age of 11 will be invited to enter a colouring competition to draw their pet dog.
Rama Venkat, store director at Specsavers in Burnham, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We wanted to do something special to celebrate our birthday and say thank you to all our customers.”
